I've seen this guy around in my time of life, but to save me, I can't remember what he/she is. (if I ever knew?)
This photo is taking on a Morning Glory leaf, I happened to be looking for the bad guy that was putting the hurt on the plant.
It wasnt him/her. (Bad guy is a night time bandit)
But very cool looking!!
When I took this, there were 2 of them close together, and I kept an eye on them for awhile to see what they were doing.
I have another image with the one next to this one.
But this guy was bigger, and my camera had a hard time focusing on the other one.
(the other has a different shaped head, could of been a female or a child???)
But, they are cool looking!!
One Colorful Dude, ???
Scarlet and green leafhopper (Graphocephala coccinea).
It is a leafhopper. They are a sucking insect which damage leaves and make little wounds that heal and the leaf grows kind of twisted and damaged looking. They also inject things into the plant that are toxic.
