I found a few with similar yellow markings, but I am still looking for an ID.
Thanks

CLOSED: What kine of (wasp?) is this?
These wasps are in the family Scoliidae; likely in the genus Scolia - see http://tinyurl.com/2c6zf7g for an example. The larvae of these wasps are parasitoid/predatory on the soil-dwelling larvae of other insects, primarily those of beetles in the family Scarabaeidae.
Thanks suunto, I have it as Scolia nobilitata. Don't know of a Common name. It's just a little wasp.
