Junebug? All black and bigger then a regular junebug though.
CLOSED: Junebug?
All of our June Bugs are black in Texas--it certainly looks like one.
Definitely in the family Scarabaeidae, but it does not look like a member of the subfamily Melolonthinae that includes all the species commonly referred to as June beetles or May bugs. It might be in the subfamily Cetoniinae, such as a Cremastocheilus or Osmoderma sp. See http://tinyurl.com/259hlsq and http://tinyurl.com/2d4wkt8 for examples.
