Mantis or beetle?

Atlanta, GA

I've really never seen anything like this, and my searches through databases come up with nothing. At first I thought it was some species of mantis but it doesn't have any out in the front. It's body curves with it's mid section closer to the ground. It's not a fast mover, and even though it was on the wall on my patio, it didn't look like it was having an easy time climbing. Anybody have any clue what this is?

This is a nymph of a leaf-footed bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Coreidae). This is quite a large family (nearly 2,000 species worldwide), most of which are plant feeders; a few species (such as squash bugs) can be serious pests.
