What is The Angel Project?
We hope to receive at least 6,000 angels... one for every fallen victim.
To date, we have received 139 angels

From all over the world, well wishes and acts of kindness have sped to sites devastated by the recent acts of terrorism against the U.S. Prayer, thought, and positive energy continue to stream into New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania focused intensely on those who have lost loved ones and those still taking part in rescue and recovery efforts.


While many have donated blood, food, and clothing, the immediate need for physical items has been met for the time being. The desire to reach out, to contribute something more than just financial assistance, remains strong.


As a result, Clapper Publishing has organized a nation-wide crusade, "The Angel Project," asking Americans to make an angel in memory of the victims of our nation's tragedy. In December, angels will be hand-delivered by Clapper Publishing staff and volunteers to New York City for a special The Angel Project memorial service.


"Through The Angel Project, people can pay tribute to those who have died and, by creating something with their own hands, help themselves heal from this heartache, too," said Marie Clapper, president of Clapper Publishing. "Although not everyone can deliver condolences in person, all Americans can send a message from their hearts through these angels."


Participation is open for individuals, schools, churches, and civic organizations.
Details about The Angel Project as well as free instructions and patterns for a variety of angel projects for every skill level are available here on this website. Instructions and patterns are also available for those who would prefer to send a heart or dove.


Updates will be posted regularly. We now have a message board available for those who wish to express their thoughts, feelings, and progress as it relates to the September 11th tragedy and The Angel Project.
