Does anybody know what kind of insect this is? This is an adult, the young can be anywhere from a milimeter or smaller.
Red and black insect
It is probably one of the Cotton Stainers or Red Bugs of the Family Pyrrhocoridae, but one would have to see the wing venation to be sure. Unfortunately, there are many similar looking red true bugs, so I may be wrong!
