Ahhhh, that last one is just beautiful!!
They're ba-a-ack. Osprey season begins.
That last shot is so great to look at and really see the differences in their markings and size. All of the shots are great though!
Hi Burn. Yes it is really good that the action has finally picked up. Thanks for your concern about my safety. With each step I take, I remind myself to tread cautiously and that no shot is worth getting a broken leg for.
Thanks, Granny Grunt. I'm glad you're enjoying them.
Yes, Kim, both Pete and I are hoping for multiple successful hatchlings this year.
Thanks, Pelle. They really are beautiful to see together. Dad is such a darling. There are long periods of inactivity, but every so often he'll fly off and come back with a nice stick for Big Hook. He knows how to woo a gal.
Thanks, duc. The lighting will continue to improve over the coming weeks. Already it's noticeably different to only two weeks ago. The nest isn't in shadow as early, either.
Thank you nanny. It's when they're viewed from a distance that the size difference is obvious. She is a big girl.
Well, the mating continues with great enthusiasm. Pete was already there when I arrived this afternoon and he'd observed them once. I saw them a twice today and Madame X reports that the greatest action occurs during mid morning.
LOL....that one with them both looking up is priceless!
I agree with, Nanny! Both of them looking up is one of my favorites!!!
Great work as usual Margaret, I love to read your thread as a serial....It's my sunday night magazine...
Can't wait for the next installment...the excitement is starting to build.
Thanks as always.
Dianne
I'm with the others, that looking up one is awesome, but then all the others are too.
Beautiful shots. Can't wait for more!
Beautiful shots Margaret. However, that one of them both looking up is a winner! Just love it!
Great shots Margaret!! I agree with everyone else the looking up shot is an eye-catcher!
Wonderful pictures Margaret, I'll be coming back for more, for sure.
Looks like the shot of them looking skywards is a winner. Thanks, everyone.
Dad and Big Hook are now being observed mating at frequently throughout the day, at approximately hourly intervals.
Here's a shot of Dad from yesterday, when the sky was blue.
