Hi,
Now, I found lots of self-sown seedlings of purpurea President Tyler growing among kohlrabi and Dahlia coccinea. This MG is now blooming. I think the time from seed to bloom was about 20 days. Is this abnormal?

Seed to Bloom time
Not for an I. purpurea! Watch that they don't strangle out your dahlia and other plants. =:-O
So...
The others (at least 20) are exhibiting the same bloom time. They will interbreed. Will the bloom time be lost in the next generation, Becky? I hope not. Maybe I can pass seeds to you, Debra and Ron (and whoever else wants it!), like that dwarf Hederacea last year. That's growing fine now.
Those Dahlias are really precious to me! I think I will try my hand at pruning them next month...
~Daniel
