Nothing as good as what I've already posted. Sorry.
Let me go out and see what they're up tp now. In the meantime, here is a shot of my other favorites. Their babies are about eight days old and always hungry.
Baltimore Oriole update
Wonderful shots Dave! Such a pleasure to see the happenings around a Baltimore Orioles nest.
Nice thread Dave! Don't know about everyone else but I,m seeing way more Baltimore Oriole's this year compared to last year.
Hello Dave,
I'm so envious of your wonderful Oriole and Bluebird families...How wonderful to be able to enjoy both of them!!!!! I'm thrilled watching both of them...thank you for sharing them with us all :D
Oh, I would love to see Orioles. I do have good BB news. After great striving with my BB nest box for the past 6 months, my pair are nesting in the box. No hatchlings yet. The other good news is that I tired of waiting on my original BB pair to nest, and put up a 2nd nest box in my front yard. two weeks ago. I never saw it happen, but new mama built a nest and is sitting on it now. Wow!
Thanks, SusanLouise, we indeed are fortunate to have the orioles and the bluebirds, and also the tree swallows, although it is a bit hectic sometimes, trying to watch all three at the same time. Congratulations Gazergirl, on having the bluebirds nesting at last. Mine are due to fledge this Saturday. I hope it is early so I can watch. One of my grandchildren is hosting an early Father's Day party on Saturday, that I can't miss.
Here is a shot from late yesterday.
I love seeing those babies peeking out. Great job Dave!!
Awww....
I had my first oriole fledgling this year come to the feeder today!!
It's so exciting to see those little mouths wide open for food. Your photos are fantastic. Great job Dave!
Beautiful pictures of the babies.
Wonderful shots Dave! those nestlings must really have to stretch to reach out of the top of that deep nest basket.
did I miss a continuation link of these birds?
Beautiful photos, all of them Dave. The babies are just adorable!! I like that last one too!
No Birdie, they apparently slipped away while I was not looking. I have camped out under their nest for hours at a time but have not seen any activity for at least 2 weeks. The nest is still in tact and I don't know if they nest more than once a season or if they do, whether they would re-use a nest.
I do have some recent pictures of my bluebirds and can update that thread for you.
