I have a few more roses but didn't get a good picture again today. The Fairy is another hard one to take and see the tiny flowers. I just cut back Cinderella Fairy Tale because it balls to much and I need to trade it to someone in a different zone.

I am honored to be able to view all your amazing roses and clematis. Thanks for sharing. Patti
OMG! How beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing
Beautiful, wonderful pictures. You have a fantastic garden!! I wish I was so organized. I have a lot of clematis, but I don't have all of them in their permanent places yet. Now I have hurt my knee and I guess it will be awhile longer before they are finished.
I just love all these pictures!!
=^..^=
♥♥♥♥
Gorgeous! Thank for the dmail link:) I had an unknown clematis a few years ago in a giant container near my front door and hadn't replaced it after I lost it a few years later. Now I'm gonna have to:lol:
Thanks everyone. I've worked hard and wanted to share my yard with friends here to see you can do great things with the right plants. Newbies should know that they get what they pay for - like roses from a cold hardy company if you're zone is 7 or below, or clematis with root balls that are huge verses a 4 inch pot.
Susan I'm not organized. I move stuff all the time, anytime of the year. I've learned what a huge difference moving a clematis can make. I won't move just any rose either but there are things I don't like in the garden or outgrew. I'm so glad to have all of you for support, information, fun during our coops and friendship by dmail.
I have the following that have yet to bloom since they were planted in May -
Betty Corning is planted beside negritianka
comtesse de bouchaud is planted with her sister - Barbara Harrington and I just took the picture of her first bloom ! - will post later
Honora which I planted with a 3rd Miss Bateman
Bee's Jubilee which is planted with it's new partner Kakio Pink Champagne. I needed these 2 on one side that had none so I'll see what happens with this pair.
Guernsey Cream hasn't bloomed yet either but doing well for a May planting too and is paired with the Harlekin rose
Please - share your pictures here too.

I'm so impressed with your coupling of plants - beautiful, beautiful. I will be referring back to your photos many times I'm sure as I love roses and clematis. May I ask where you buy your clematis?
Tussee

WOW!! Is right, Very, VERY nice, Thank you so much for the D, as I would have missed this post:)Anita
Your love & hard work sure shines in your beautiful yard.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to all. My clematis come from Silver Star Vinery in WA State. Shipping ends, I believe, the end of this month so please contact her now. Debbie is very helpful.
Roses are from Palatines unless otherwise noted.
I need to go back and correctly name a couple that I entered the wrong name due to a rush to post so many pics so fast.
It's my dirt that I contribute the garden growth to. It's a 1910 home and there was nothing planted here for many years. Rich soil. When I dig I often smell cow manure but few rock and lots of worms. I do use Bayer 3 in one as pellet feeder on both roses and clematis.
Thanks and I'll go back and fix a couple names like GALORE 'Evipo032' and a couple others.
I also have a few that are not listed and hopefully will bloom soon. A new rose bloomed yesterday too. I'll be posting more here soon.
Kathy
Enjoyed your show, I am into my first year purchases from Debbie, sure
wish I could have the performance that you have. Your plants are really
nice. confussedldy
Excellent!! I love looking at your pictures! you have such nice big trellis's.
Kathy, That is an awesome collection of beautiful plants and pictures. You definitely have the touch! Thanks for the link, I have been very busy and havent been on much.
AWESOME!!!! Thanks for sharing this with me!!
Wow, Kathy! That's quite a collection of clematis and roses! Lovely! I have sun-envy :)
I have just started incorporating lots of clematis too (but nowhere near as many as you have). I have been pleasantly surprised that they bloom reasonably well even in part-sun!
Yes but JOY you have the perfect stream !
That's why this community is great. We've all got something unique :) Seriously, your yard is fabulous! Did you end up keeping the stream?
No, stream went away. I just couldn't deal with it. So this year is make up year where I move things to the correct place. When I did away with the stream/pond I just planted things everywhere and not knowing what each thing was - I now see it wasn't always right.
beautiful!!
Oh, You brat, you make me want more:(
Mine are puny in comparison! What do you do to get them so full? I've tried cutting back a lot! You make me sick lol, (with envy) :)
Cathy
I love it ladies. I just love the 'you make me sick" and "you brat" !!! I love people with a sense of humor!
I contribute the stunning growth to 2 things.....1 is healthy, hardy plants from a good grower and 2 - my dirt is kick butt. The soil is so rich that I have dug holes and smelled cow poop. this is a 1910 home and no one has planted things in the yard in MANY years.
I use bayer 3 in 1 granular plant food, deadhead the eyelashes when the blooms poop out. I actually have about 4 or 5 pictures now on Silver Star Vinery's website - kathy Phillips is across the plant - and she is stunned at some of the growth I have and says she wants my dirt too. LOL When I talk with Debbie, the owner, about the size of a certain clematis she always says "well in your dirt........I don't know how big it will get". I love it.
Thanks and I'm SOOO glad I can make you jealous and I don't have a gardener - it's just me.
Kathy
Awesome!! You ARE a Gardener! Do you make house calls? lol
Hey Janet,
Great to see you peek in. Where have you been? Email me with updates and grandchildren stories.
I have more clematis that are in their first year and need to get a pictures hopefully this fall. I just planted Ice Blue after seeing what a HUGE flower that one has I just had to have it. I don't think I'll get a bloom until May on that one. I also got Niobe too. And another one that I found at Lowes that I haven't identified yet. It is very simulare to Abundance except it's blueish purple. But not Venosa Violacea viticella so - not sure what I have.
Kathy
Hi
Hey Dan. I can't find japanese beetle spray for my roses - what do you use?
I put down merit in June, don't have JB. Somethings I use chemicals for. Sorry
HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU DO THIS!!!??? I can barely get a black eyed susan to live, and from what I hear anyone can grow them. But I am serious, what do you do it? Everything I plant turns yellow and starts to die in two or three years. Man I guess I just not cut out to be a gardener.
