I would like to plant some bamboo in a large tub and put it in my pond, will it grow in water? How can I make this work? I don't want to put it in the yard, I have been told that bamboo is too invasive for the yard.
Bamboo in water?
You mean real bamboo, not dracaena sanderana, right?
The only bamboo I am aware of that can be grown this way is B. ventricosa- any others I believe I would pot and keep close to the margins of the pond for effect.
phyllostachys aurea
wow that is a mouthfull!
I think it spreads by runners under the ground.
