I need help with bugs/beetle WITHOUGH hurting frogs/toads

I am very new to flower gardening. I live in NC and have deer and really bad squirrel troubles. But lately the beetles and spiders and these flattish green bugs are coming out and eating it all. I want to poison them BUT I have several toads that live in my garden and I don't want to hurt them in anyway.

What can I do about the bugs and not hurt my toads....who obviously don't eat very much or I wouldn't have the bug issue.
