CLOSED: What am I?

I found this near Vernal, Utah. He was pretty neat.

This is a bee fly (Diptera: Bombyliidae), but as there literally are scores of species having this general appearance (see http://tinyurl.com/256gm98 for an example), I am not going to attempt a more specific identification. The larvae of these flies are parasitoid/predatory on the eggs and larvae of ground-nesting insects, primarily those of solitary bees and wasps; the adults are nectar/pollen feeders.

I see. Thanks again.
