Cleanup - isle 12.. Sheesh this is worse than the mess in isle 13!

Here we have the little hoophouse that is going to be used like a trellis. Got some of the tomatoes poked in the ground. Got them tied to the hooper already. The whole dirt floor needs a work up so the Zukes can go in, need to weed and pott up the margarites that are strays here.

The baskets need weeding..

OY!..

Im going in.. trouble is, the makeover may take days as I dodge the storms!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Another angle of this mess.. least the loofas are growing half way decent, those tomatoes are tied... must clean up the alley.. oY!

Ok, what the heck is this plant, they were trims off one of the hanging basket bargains.. its pretty, but gets straggly!

Oy. Pots on the ground, pots on the ground. Rain rain go away, Blossom want's to play today. We're way below normal for rain in May and June, but its a good thing. It's just the right amount and no standing water most of the time. Mosquitoes are usually brutal by now, but this summer not too bad yet.

The most embarrassing thing happened this evening. I was watering the hibiscus on the side of the pool. For the first time, since I've lived here, I miscalculated how much room there was in between the hibbies and the pool. You guessed it.....fell right into the pool. LOL Even "Jaws" was flapping the mouth and laughing at me.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Aawwwww crappers its back......Looks likethe angels gonna dump their pool on us again.. Run for cover they say high winds and bad news.. UGH!

I think were going for the wettest year here.. jeez!

Whew! That was a nasty one last nite Jon! They said it had hurricane force winds in it..

Someone has got to tell the HEAD WEATHERGUY that Im inland.. LIKE WAAAAAAY INLAND! SHeesh, misdirected storms here if I ever saw them!

But anyway, we made it unscathed. Im heading out for the sunny patch... hope to find some!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Oops, forgot the link!

To the sunnies we go:

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Ok, Im back from the sunny patch.. the GPS is still a mess.. need to weed the pots in here...Ugh

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

This is the small hoophouse...those hanging baskets need weeding too

The big hoops are going to have tomatoes goign up them and that trellis in the center willhave loofas.. I just hope I got the loofas in early enough to give me sponges this year!

I ought to fillthat old wash basin up with dirt and flowers too one year! GOt a hole in it fitting for Redneck Gardening

Another $2 bargain huh. Only have 2 varieties of marigolds this year and grew them myself....for some reason. One is very ordinary looking and the other one is slightly unique looking (Inca 2 Primrose)

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Those marigolds went in withthe cherry maters in the #1500 cans. I also potted up (finally) the bulbs Sue gave me...took me long enough! HA!

Then foound this "weed" NOID growing everywhere in the garden. If it was not so cute, I would eradicate it! Just wished I knew what it was!

Got Pic??! I have some of my seed sprouted from marigold of last year.. no blooms yet.

Um, Im a bargain hunter .. the newb DL's I got last week.. I paid $38 for 7 new ones and I tell ya, Jon, the clumps I got would retail for around $25 bucks each.. ($175. for the pile) For the last two decades I made an agreement with myself that I would spend around $50 annually for ne DLs......oh golly, I got $15 left....see ya when I get back from Morocco!

Eeks, I need to clean this Ostrich up..

Thumbnail by BLOSSOMBUDDY
Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Heres one of my border beds.. about 150 some feet long... there are annuals on the edge of the ties....its hard to take a pic of this the light is alwasy wrong!

Thumbnail by BLOSSOMBUDDY

Yep, the lighting can make or break the picture. Yes, the daylily prices can be outrageous/ridiculous, especially for the new ones. I'll have to take marigold pics in the morning.
