Hi - Just wanted to show you all my hard work last weekend. I put in a small fountain container water garden right on the patio so I can enjoy it sitting out and reading in the evening. Also, it's next to my bird feeders (they are off to the left) and I've already seen some birds hop over to play and drink since it is very slow streaming -- alot less work than my big feature, for sure! Will do -- the plants are already about twice the size they were when potted. The ferns are Ostrich Ferns - a native plant in Iowa. They have an area of about 30 square feet there, and absolutely no maintenance since weeds can't survive in their midst. They spread slowly and look wonderful in a large stand, so if you have the space, they are magnificent! I just picked up the fountain at a year end sale at one of the local nurseries (60% off) - so I just basically placed it and plugged it in -- love it.
