CLOSED: Id this small flying bug please.

It was in my glass of water by my bed. It's the size of an ant maybe a little bit smaller. I have red bite marks all over me and thought this kind of bug might be the culprit.
Please let me know if you know what this bug is.

This is the same image that was appended to your thread on the small spiders.To reiterate, these are fungus gnats (Diptera: Sciaridae); they lack biting mouthparts, and would not be responsible for any bites.
