Strange tiny bug

Hi all

Last night I was lying in bed when it felt like something was tickling my arm. I barely felt anything really just enough for me to notice. I picked it up between my fingertips and it was hard and not like lint or anything. So I squeezed it and it was still really hard. I turnt on the light to see what it was and it was a tiny bug. It was just larger than a speck, just enough to notice it slightly resembled a beetle. It could jump quite high and quite far. I have never seen a flea in my life but I assumed it could be one. This bug was impossible to crush it was too hard. Any suggestions? Sorry no picture.

Even if you do not have any animals, fleas occasionally ride in on clothing from outside.
