hi I found this spider in my house and I havent seen this one before, the shot was taken on macro, the spider is only a little longer than my thumbnail including legs. I am if the detached legs bother anyone, if they are outside I dont have a right to touch them, but once they're in my house, well you get the point.
Does anyone know what this is? I do get packages from asia and canada frequently.....I dont know much about spiders, but I couldnt sleep tonight and I thought it would be fun to play "spider detective"
thanks in advance!

These appear to be the remains of an unfortunate woodlouse spider (Dysdera crocata; family Dysderidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/2f423ak for an image. They get their name from feeding only on isopod crustaceans known variously as woodlice, sowbugs, pillbugs, etc.). The venom of this spider is not dangerous to humans, but their quite large 'fangs' easily can penetrate human skin, and they can deliver a painful bite of mishandled. BTW, spiders found indoors here simply are escorted outside where they can go about their business...
