Beautiful Bill!!!!!!
I want some of the light pink & funky colored lupine seeds please :)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, Bill! You guys are making me want to try lupines now!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Victor another batch of beauties. Hydrangea looking good. I am happy to be seeing buds on all of mine after a late frost nipped a few things.
Bill such nice colors and shapes in your pic selections. Lovely. I am envious of all these lupin pics. Do you remember which strain you planted?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

You should Victor!

I need the Light Pink to go with this one.....

I have no buds on my hydrangeas yet, much less flowers! The late freezing fog nipped them badly. Loved all the lupine photos, & the roses as well. This rose, William Baffin, was cut down & dug up 2 years ago....here it is again...can't get rid of it!

Wow - great shot, Celeste!

When do you plant the seeds?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Most of the time I follow M.N.'s lead Victor, she drops them to the earth in just a few weeks. Leave them there all alone until next spring and WHA-LA I have babies. I think I have at least 3-5 ( 4") plants out there right now that are from the yellow lupine.
I originally started them from seed in the house one Feb/March, placed them out in the garden that summer and haven't touched one since. Let Mother Nature do the rest. ^_^

Bill, now I'll always think of you when I see my Sweet William. I actually have to move it, my red twig dogwood that was supposed to be 4x4', is 6x6'and invading space. I love it though, maybe I could keep it pruned shorter.

I just bought a lupine with buds so I could have one this year, had them in the past and they were gorgeous. Bunnies have eaten them, so I bought liquid fence for the first time. My first ones were from seed I also started indoors.

Thanks, Celeste. That's what I do with my columbine.

These lilies match the seed heads on the physocarpus much better than this shows.

:) i know - i always try to get the name right when showing someone the yard - then i realize i could say anything and they would not know the difference after the first 10 trees - by #60 i do not even think they are listening:)
