SEED ROBIN IN FLIGHT "ROUND 3"

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Thanks Anita yes you can send it to me in my dmail if you will .
cindy the Robin will be going around again Proble in November & You can Join in with us if you like .
Keep watch here for the new Sign up thread .

This Robin is about to come home to rest & get fatten Up .

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Susie and Mary, I'm glad to hear you are both doing better.

Hopefully, I will have even more seeds for the Robin. I'm not very experienced with collecting seeds so, I can't always tell the seed from the chaff. I don't know if I will participate with the Robin but I would like to add seeds if possible. I would hate for my seeds to go to waste. This year I had the most beautiful Marigolds. This is the first year this variety is on the market. This is the same kind that were used in the Beijing Olympics in 2008. I would love to share these seeds if I could. Has anyone ever collected the Cockscomb seeds?

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

Diamond, I am very green in experience when it comes to seed collecting. After the Robin returns to Becky, I am hoping there will be a tread "PREPARING FOR THE NEXT SEED ROBIN"

That way we can poise questions regarding seed collection, packaging of seeds, etc.

I would love to see a picture of those new marigolds. And after your description, I relish the thought of taking a few of those seeds for next year's garden.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

MEMEME Also For the MArigold seeds they are easy to collect just let the heads dry out you can maybe find old cookie sheets what I use to let my seeds dry on Just be sure you do not have curious critters who will Dump them on the floor.

& Yes I would like to start a seed saving thread for QUESTION 's & ANSWERS Should I start one To Use till our Next Robin Is ready to go out ????

Also I would love to learn how to make a few PHOTO's of my plants that I collected from I don't have the names of them I Know Like HHock, dianthus , Hibiscus, so on but not they given name so would like to show what they look like but i cannot get my printer to make then small enough to go on the little baggies ,

if there is anyone here who can do this for me I would be happy to pay you for the ink or buy the ink for them :)
i can send you the pictures . or supply the plants for ya :))

let me know if we should do another thread for the info :) got to go put super on back later
GREAT IDEA MARY

Susie, as soon as Robin finds his/her way back to you start a new thread ..... one suggestion for title

Healthy Robin Tips lets generate other possible titles for the new thread

I can help with directions on generating small photos on home printers.

I think we should wait for Robin tips and helpful directions until the new thread is started.

MARY

would love to be a part of the next round. have lots of seeds to share. do i just watch for the post or do i need an invite. very new to this but very enthusiastic.

GRRRR I am so disappointed about the delay in delivery of the ROBIN.

But I do have some good new to share.

On Aug 19th my right eye (which was at the legally blind stage) was operated on and a crystal lens was implanted.

On Aug 20th the vision was 20/40. Today it is 20/25

I am scheduled for the left eye to have the same procedure on Sept. 16th.

Best of luck mary that is very nice wish I could have had the same out come with my surgeries .

sure it will be here tomorrow .

susie

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

I had to edit my last post.

The specific type of lens that was implanted came on the market this year.

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

That's impressive Mary almost perfect vision! I'm sure the upcoming surgery will be just as successful. I'm getting excited about the upcoming Robin. I'm collecting Marigold seeds, Taishan orange, red and purple salvia, coneflower seeds, gaillardia Dakota Reville, blackeyed Susan newer varieties and others. I wish I knew how to collect seeds from the hardy Passion vine. I would add that one to the list. If anyone is interested in what I have listed, please, send me a dmail. I'll make an envie with your name on it!

Anita

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

susie

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

Since the package was returning to its originator, I decided to include the set of decorated clay pots as a gift for Susie.

If it was destine to make another stop before being directly sent to her, I would not have done so because I realize it would result in a significant increase in postage.
