This is a spirobolid millipede (see http://tinyurl.com/34zfrf6 for an example). They are not venomous, but they will give off a very noxious chemical substance when molested. It has an excruciatingly unpleasant taste that lingers for hours, and in some tropical species, can cause skin burns.
