Hi...So sorry to leave you all hanging.
Life's been on a whirlwind over here, lol and now I am off to OH for the Sistah gathering this weekend.
You know, secret coniving with a certain Sistah, (lol you know who you are, will get a d-mail to you later!, swaps, kids, 2 gardens,never ending house work and what lurking I can get in...mix it all up and I got CAOS!!
A little note to my Gyspie friends...
So I sure hope that the Gypsies have been being have while I've been crazy busy, lol I sure could use a couple extra Big Wheels
with all that's been going on, lol but I know you probably have been fighting over popcorn while you waited.
Sure hope that you all are doing well and I think after this weekend, things will return to normal and I can come play at the fire camps.
Missing you all very much, lol in my defense too, I haven't been on many of the threads very much, So someone please leave me a trail of marsh mellows and let me know where the new Camps are ok, meanwhile just know I do think of you all everyday.

We drove for about 2 hours to Volterra.
The drive was incredible. We drove through tunnels!
The Country roads were insane. I don't mean with traffic, I mean roads that curve in the craziest ways!
I just hung on for dear life. lol my neck was all tightened up from gripping the handle.
We were so glad to be driving during the day light.
LOL here's a picture of Thelma on the road.
People do drive without a thought of speed on those curves. Even tour buses, this just amazed us.
Even my Honey was a bit nervous, that he actually let people pass us up! he said, you go for it a couple of times.
...lol as Liz can attest that a real big deal for him, and I was proud as can be for that.
But the Country was just gorgeous. Every turn was another amazing sight to behold.

Ain't gonna happen LOL Good to hear from you and hope you get to relax at the Sistah gathering, sounds like a ball, I've been poking in off and on and looks like several people will be there. Here is a great photo of the city.
On the way in We passed this enormous sculpture.
I loved how it was situated and had to stop for a picture or two.
We passed a few really neat things to see on the way in as well.
The only bummer is, by the time we whizzed past, we thought to take a photo on the way back out.
Well, this didn't happen. But one of the cool sites was for a winery. They had a small bistro table and chairs set
out. Classic Italian! Table had a red and white table cloth and was set for 2 with a bottle of wine set on top.
But as we drove on We came to this site! OMG, got a a little home sick for just a few minutes.
Once we arrived in Volterra, once again we were Wowwed at the enormity of the City.
In the main Court yard is a map of the entire City.
And I really loved to see the Rod iron works.

Could you believe this pigeon decided to scratch his butte just as i took the picture.

Here is the Face of the now Municiple building.
I love all the windows and little holes in it.
More alleys. Some of them lead to peoples homes.
This one, I thought was nicely decorated.
As you can see though everything is Stone, buildings streets, etc.
