These are leaf beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae); they resemble the species Smaragdina viridana - see http://tinyurl.com/2vwzrhp for an image.

suunto- they need a GPS system! They are on flowers, not leaves!! :) I suppose they are just making their way to the good green stuff.
