I live in central FL, and am trying to find out who this little wasp is. Sleeps in flowers overnight, then spends most of the day around my Rudbeckias. I do my best to get rid of the wasps that feen on my Swallowtail and Monarch cats! I couldn't find a photo in Bug Files search for wasps that matched this one.

This insect poses no threat to your caterpillars - it is a bee, not a wasp. It is the family Halictidae (commonly known as sweat bees); likely in the genus Agapostemon - see http://tinyurl.com/2ckkmk8 for an example.
Thank you so much! I often get bees and wasps confused if it doesn't resemble something like a big, fat bumble! This little guy is so cute, I was hoping he's not harm my cats.
