how does she do it, Willow? I think paper making could be cool.
Pony, he is completely vindicated!
Apropos of Nothing v.14
Pixy, I have a book on how to make homemade books and paper. I think you need to have it. Paper crafts and I don't get along too well.
I picked some flowers to bring in the house and brought a baby bee in. I guess he was asleep in the Phlox and woke up once he warmed up. Now.??.how am I going to get him out the back door??He seems a bit unhappy right now. He sounds angry!
I'm bringin' home a baby bumblebee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me...
Ooops the bee stung me. I loved that song when I was little. No sign of the bee. I am hoping he left. Love bees...just not in the house. :)
Yikes, I just got mired in the muck over in the "Dave's Garden" forum. What a bunch of ugliness going on. Pixy and Katie49 - thanks for your efforts to bring some civility to the discussions. SummerKid - appreciated your humor. Glad to be back in sane territory again, don't think I'll stray too far for awhile. My bird feeders are empty, think I'll go fill them.
I went over to the muck and read the posts, and left one comment. Ugliness, indeed. I got a kick out of the discussion about deleting posts that are off-topic. Pretty funny, considering how we are rarely on-topic.
BH - this is a crazy soap opera. It gets better and better - there are so many developments on sites all over the Inet. I can't take my eyes off of it. I think Melissa took the day off - smart girl.
I understand now what mob frenzy is all about.
I have now been blackballed by the Dave supporters as some sort of "spy" for Internet Brands. If that's true, I need that paycheck right away . . .
Hope you're okay, Bea! I wish we could tell them that we're just trying to help!
Did you guys see that there were multiple threads? You should definitely peruse the first one about "can we get some honesty here". It's wild.
See - you are Agent 59!
Yes!! Where's my shoe phone, though?
LOL Maybe your phone is in your gardening gloves.
Oooh, now there's a nice invention. A gardening glove phone . . . I think you have something there, Judi.
I decided to not post the first thing that I thought to ask when reading through the threads...
"Um, what's a cubit?" ;)
The gloves could have a little pocket for your phone, that you can see through so you can push the answer button so you don't have to bet your pockets all muddy when you dig in for your phone.
Yes!
I think you should start KatieGirl2u Gardening Glove Phone company....
hehehe :)
What?
Of course I had to trundle over there to see what all the ruckus was about, and I must admit my thoughts were also along the lines of 'what's a cubit"?
But skimming thru made me very glad for our little ocean of sanity, gardening, and book lust over here in the PNW forum.
Me too, Kymmco. :)
Oh... I thought you were accused of being katiegirl2u and posting on yahoo message boards...
Just my silly attempt at an inside joke... ;)
Sorry, I'm a little defensive about getting attacked on the other thread. Humor is good. Keep it up!!
Agent 59, don't blame you for being touchy at all! I can't believe some of the malicious posts I have seen, and the mean things that have been directed at poor people who are trying to keep a level head and get facts straight. I have been watching the trainwreck as well, and have thouroughly appreciated the attempts by members like you and Pixy who have tried to have a reasonable discussion.
It really makes you appreciate the members of our little corner of DG who allow people to have different opinions and not be maligned for them!
Aw, thanks, Julie. But I do think that Kur's comment was funny. I just forgot where I was. Safe here with you all who seem to have your heads on your shoulders.
Heheh... Don't worry...
I'm a newbie and have yet to form my unfaltering allegiance to the entity they call “Dave"...
If there was any danger of that happening it was squelched by the bevy of emotional, presumptive, (and plain rude) posts made by some of his avengers... ;)
Oh, yeah. I'm not there, and may never be. And I figured that about you.
Oh, yeah. I'm not there, and may never be. And I figured that about you. Did you see your d-mail from me?
I found it funny as well.... Just figured that I would give you kudos somewhere "safe" as well, as I thought about defending you on the other thread but then decided that the disrespect that was shown you wasn't worth dignifying with a response.
Yeah, and good not to get involved. Because nobody's really reading. But thanks for the show of support.
I've just experienced my first real-life example of mob behavior. I suppose it was bound to happen sometime.
What's weird is this seems to be happening everywhere lately... internet wars... I believe true-colors are flying... A similar thing is happening at recipezaar, soon to be food.com... Yeah.... just wait until davesgarden becomes garden.com.... whoa, you haven't seen the teeth till you've seen them try to change the name... ;)
Interesting. Wonder what planets control cyberspace and what they're doing right now.
I've been lurking around the hubbub. I can't deal with that sort of stuff. Really makes me appreciate everyone here all the more! :) Thank you PNW-ers!
Ah, home sweet home! Back to sanity and people who don't need a 'leader'. Real grown ups! I've showered all the mud off my body and cashed my big paycheck from IB and I'm ready to rumble! LOL!
Now that the info about the allegations has been posted (can't believe they posted that... it's a big risk unless they are absolutely certain) it's going to get very very ugly.
Glad there is this little island of sanity to return to.
Say, does anyone know how to go about getting the 'angel' fund to pay for someone? I have a friend in Pakistan whose subscription has expired. I'd just pay it, but I think it would make him feel funny.
Well, it didn't tell me who paid for mine- if Steve hadn't posted about his gift I would have had no idea who to thank. So if you pay for it, I reckon he won't know. But Summerkid knows the folks who do the angel fund, so she could probably hook you up with them.
You folks!
LOL!
I think you just need to d-mail an Admin . . . welcome, Aguane!
Is it foggy up there... I need fog, vague, white!
Too intense in the pits down here!
LOL
I'm refreshed already!
Just wet wet wet these days. And very green green green. We do get some fog, but generally not that much.
Imagine if all allagations against Dave are true...wonder how much all the 2 cents worth ended up costing IB
