That looks like a Butterfly weed. It has a long tap root and is not easy to transplant. They come red and yellow and everything in between (orange). They like full sun and are very drought tolerant, even
for Texas. Have fun this weekend.
will trade
Thanks Ken. I had thought it might be in the butterflyweed catagory. What every it is I'm going to try transplanting a couple and getting some seeds. I'll just have to watch them for seeds.
marti001 can you please take a better picture of one of the maples? I am still asking around to find out which one they are.
My computer is going to the geek for updates and to load a new Microsoft program today. So I will be down a couple of days. I WILL get the pictures and post them next week when I get the computer back. OK
Sounds Great. Hurry back we will miss you!!
I would love to try a sassafras tree! It would be the only one in our area, I am sure! Love trying unusual things! Thanks! If you find 2 or 3, I would love to try them! Will put them in different areas and see how they do. Thanks again!
I'll see what I can do about getting you some sassafras trees along with your maples.
Found out that the computer blew the power source, so can't get the computer back until towards the end of the month. DARN!!!!! I will have my check on the 16th so than can pay for the new powersource and the geek will order it and install it. Luckily when he built the computer he put protection in so that when the power source goes it does not take out the mother board or hard drive. That's what happen to my computer in Calif. The power source went out and burned out the mother board and hard drive.
Till than will have to come over to the library as often as I can and check on how everybody is doing. Please be patient and I will get to everyones questions/request as soon as I can.
Hugs to all
Marti
hugs back at you Marti
