Have only been a doggie mama for a few years and some of the things they do I just can't figure out. One of my dogs will eat the hair clippings of one of the others if I leave them anywhere he can get to them. The vet said she had never heard of that before and it is probably some kind of pack instinct to clean up any "spoor" as protection against enemies. Okay, but it's still weird. The biggest puzzle for me, though, is why one or more of my dogs has to lay on my clothes! I can lay out clean clothes on the bed-just a tiny little corner of the bed--when getting ready for work, or bring them in from laundry, then leave the room and, when I come back, one of the dogs is laying smack in the middle of the clothes. If I leave any on the floor, one or more will lay on those. Anybody have dogs that do the same thing? Or have an idea of why these guys do it? LOL
(here are two of the three)
