I have a couple of Purple finch coming to the feeder.

I felt so bad today, when this Cedar Waxwings banged into my window. I was sure it was not going to survive, It was on it's back still breathing, but not moving, when I found it. It was a good 10 min, before he got up on it's feet, but still didn't move. I checked on it on and off, making sure no predators came around. About 15 min later, I decided to try to pick it up and put it in a safer place, to recuperate, and he flew off into the tree with a bit of difficulty.I'm so glad it made it.

Lily_love - Sometimes I scare up a GBH before I see it. At least you spotted it first. Nice Captures.

burn_2007 - I, too, am glad the Cedar Waxwing will probably make it. AND how did you get above the nest in your first pic? It's going to be fun watching their development.

It is about to rain here, but I did look outside and spied a usual visitor. Looks like he's been in a fight, or two.

Thanks Burn. Hack, those male Northern Cardinals kept me entertained! They seem to be in constant battles, or is that a way they keep in shape? Yours looks worn, but proud nevertheless. lol.

Hack, The nest is at eye level. It's a bit to exposed to predators, I've seen the female chase a Grackle, that was on the branch close to the nest. Who knows what other predicament, these nestling will have to face.
Wish I could see some Cardinals here.

We used the red pepper suet this winter & got only birds, not squirrels using it.

Had a male Eastern Towhee show up last Friday during the rain too...

Yesterday during a break in the rain this Bald Eagle was screeching at the crows which were trying to make him leave the area.

This is the first time in a couple weeks that I've seen a Black-headed Grosbeak.

Had to take this through the window, but this is one of our youngest Orioles, probably a Bullock's, to come to the feeder. It was trying to figure out how to get the sugar water-nothing funnier to watch!

Here's a pic I took back in the winter while fishing for crappie. A handsome Egret feeding along the river bank.

We are back down in Fl. for awhile and saw a small flock of these. I was hoping someone could ID them for me.

Those are Sandhill Cranes Holly....lucky you! I just see them fly over during migration!
