I tried Gel but soon returned to what I've used for many years; Vermiculite.
From 20 days (for Inpatients) to two years ( for a Juniper) it always is successful in producing roots.
I just pull gently on the stem, of whatever, and if there is resistance I know roots have been formed.
I then continue to wiggle, the stem until the plant emerges and I then plant in potting soil.
I keep the Vermiculite damp at all times.
Vermiculite
Good tip! Thanks! I have used a mixture, but this seems a lot easier. When you are doing a variety of things, it is best to keep it simple.
