My bluebonnets have formed pods. The pods are still green. Can I harvest them now or do I need to wait?

Angela - by now your bluebonnets are probably passing away . . . as did mine about a week ago.

I collected all the pods, many of which are still green - - put them all in a very wide saucer and I am letting them dry in the sun. I've done this for several years now.
