The image is not clear enough to be absolutely certain, but this appears to be an immature fishing/nursery web spider (family Pisauridae) such as Pisaurina mira - see http://tinyurl.com/2cqkeq for an example. Some running crab spiders (family Philodromidae) in the genus Tibellus can have a similar appearance, but they usually hold their legs in a different pose, and their second pair of legs is longer than the first pair - see http://tinyurl.com/24q3wcp for an image.
It must be diffucult to determine. I think Pisaurina mira, your first assessment, is on target. Thank you!
