Not much yellow here now that the daffs are gone. Two yellow vines are blooming though, the honeysuckle and the gelsemium. Both were planted last year. Also the little yellow violas. The perennial digitalis will be blooming soon and various coreopsis won't be far behind.

I dislike yellow (sorry) and thus my garden has a constant supply, from the earliest forsythia to the millions of early, middle and late daffodils, we have a few days off right now only by design but if we had alyssum saxatile and yellow pansies or primulas it would be constant. The scapes are already up of what will be dozens of stella d'oro daylilies and of course the darn moonbeam coreopsis that escaped from captivity and reseeded all over the yard. There also could be yellow irises now, couldn't there? And roses? Black-eyed susan vine, too. Yellow and blue look lovely together, as long as you remember the blue!

I don't mean to sound negative; I'm just worn out from wrestling with this new computer and mourning the old one that died young.

Only my trollius and yellow lamium are blooming now. The daffies are just about done...only a few white ones left. In fact, I don't have much in bloom yet at all. Sweet woodruff and creeping phlox besides the yellows.

I do have a yellow rose blooming now...Baby Love.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have a huge empty space(so much for my planning) in the front of the new garden, this is where all the bulbs were planted. The yellows in there haven't bloomed yet(don't they know they are supposed to be??? lol)

Not a great long view pic because I was focused on the daff....but you can see the blue(winky aqulegia) and light yellow(which is the baby blessed iris) in the back, off to the left not in the pic is another blue iris not yet blooming.

Wowzer, JoAnn! Very pretty!! I have to dig up Hank's heirloom peony that has been moved from home to home for more than a hundred years in his family. It is planted too low - I'm convinced of it - it has so few blooms but the foliage is really pretty. My fuschia peonies very close to it are filled with buds. Hank's is a very pretty pale pink one.

Sherrie - pretty colors...very interesting!

Marilyn - you're not kidding! Both girls were sitting on my lap just now when my son called. His dog, Donnie barked at something in the background and the girls went nuts running around trying to find him. I guess they recognize his bark even through the phone; they were looking out every door and window to find him.

That compote is very pretty.
