CLOSED: Bumble Bee ?

Frankfort, KY(Zone 6a)

Looks like it to me.
I found a nest of them under my rabbit cages while cleaning.
There are about 10 or so and I must clean, remove the dirt, straw and poo where they are nesting.
Any suggestions ? I know they are good pollinators, maybe I should work around them.

Yes, this is a bumble bee, and you should do your best to work around them. Is it all possible to leave that area undisturbed until this autumn?

I once uncovered a bumble bee nest while removing a brush pile. The comb was exposed as I had innocently removed the dried grass cover to their nest in the ground. I used a shovel and gently moved the nest to the protection of another brush pile. All the bees calmly stayed on the comb through the move and the little colony continued in its new location.

Good idea greenthumb, I did expose the comb and I moved it, covered after the BB came to it..
I was surprised how calm the BB were...
