Not too sure that it looks like botrytis, but I'd keep a close eye on it. Have anything on hand that you can spray for fungus and / or bugs?

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Sure do..I have sprayed it a couple times with fungicide.

You might give it some Epsom Salts to see of that clears up the leaf coloring...

Will do. I keep forgetting them......

Good luck.I would hate to loose any of mine.

okay...I got Epsom Salts...is it best to mix with water and then water the plant or sprinkle around and work in?

I would definitely mix with water since I tried it the easy way and think I hurt two clematises in the process. Live and learn applies here.

Thanks pirl! The easy way usually bites me too! lol

Nanny, that is the result I get when spraying for lily beetles if the dilution is not correct. Also, the solution needs to be shaken several times during the application.

More than once I have burned my lilies with a little too much enthusiasm.

Unfortunately (or not), I'd rather get to the leaves before the lily beetles do.

I was wondering if it might be burn from spraying....I need to do that area late afternoon after the sun is off it from now on.
