Carla that tree, what is the name of it? If you cut the top off does it come back with zillions of leaves? They are everywhere around here. I am collecting trees for a friend of mine's place and I like to know the name of them.

Sylvia....you don't want this one. For one it grows too slow and then there is more thorns than a rose bush. I want it because it is a host plant for a swallowtail.
I bet what you have coming up wild around you is pecan, oak, hackberry or maple. Look those up and see if they look like what you have.
