My daughter took this picture in the parking lot of her salon. She was fascinated by the bug's bright colors. I don't know what it is. Do you?

This appears to be Tegrodera aloga, a blister beetle (Coleoptera: Meloidae) known as the iron cross beetle - see http://tinyurl.com/24wg433 for images and more information.

I have hundreds of these on my acre in Three Points southern Arizona. they seem to be only in the green vegitation. I am trying to find a repelent that will get rid of them? Thanks for any help.
