Hello!
I started my first container veggie garden this year in Central Florida, and a bunch of my baby bush and wax bean plants are starting to get these little yellow leaf-burrowing bugs in 'em. I circled 'em in blue in the pic, and you can see the nasty trails.
What are they and how can I get rid of them?
If there's any generous tipping folks out there who know about any other pitfalls I might run into, I'd also appreciate any tidbits about problems I might run into with patio, roma and grape tomatoes, red peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, strawberries, and blueberries.
Thanks!
Rose

You appear to have two different problems; I cannot make out the yellow insects clearly enough to be certain, but they appear to be aphids, and thus not responsible for the burrows. Those most likely are the result of feeding by larvae of a fly in the family Agromyzidae such as the vegetable leafminer, Liriomyza sativae - see http://tinyurl.com/2g6pg3s for a fact sheet.
