Pretties

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I get a package in the mail today and inside was some pretties.
Thank You MissC for the pretties. Just in time for the new project that I am starting-that is if I can get off my duff and get going.

Thank you very much.

So glad you like them! I had fun making them for you!! Can't wait to see your next crochet project!

(for anyone who doesn't know, they are crochet stitch markers!)

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

LOL That would be me... I have tried and end up pulling it out and starting over just on the basic stitches ..LOL

{{{I think Miss J needs some too.}}}

The next project is a vest make with granny squires, Problem is I can not decide which squire to use. She wants it either in black, white or some plain soft color. I like bright.

I love me some pretty stitch markers! I never used them before starting to knit (I am much better at crochet) but I had a friend make me a little box full of them and they are just darling. I've never tried to make adult clothing with crochet (well, I've tried, but end up giving up quite quickly). In fact, the only clothing I've made is for my kids, and aside from hats, it's all been knitting. I'd love to see a pic of the square you choose, and of course the finished project! Are you on Ravelry? If so, we should be friends! I'm mevnjmart on there. (Note the 'j' that's missing on my handle here).

I am Dahlianut and I revel so I should probably be on Revelry but I don't know what that is. Tres prettiful dear Claire and you must be doing a dance of joy to have them dear Wren. ps they also make very luvly earings ^_^

Edit: Ohhh I just read back it's Ravelry not Revelry. I also ravel so I should probably belong to that one too.

Dahlianut, what I like about the site is that before, I'd always surf for hours trying to find a pattern that was free (or just that I could look at without going to the craft store) and now, with Ravelry, they are all (and I seriously mean ALL) in one place with a fantastic pattern search. It's a really well set up and user-friendly site. Let me know when you get on so we can be friends. :)

Dahlia dear it is a sit for knitters and crocheters, sorry not revel or ravel that I have found yet but would like to do both, I think.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

I at no where near ready to count stitches, I am trying to master getting the stitches all the same size before I attempt to do something that requires counting..

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

the key to getting them the same size it to relax!!!

Spiro, OK(Zone 7a)

I was just going to say - I used to have a horrible hand position when I crocheted - my stitches were too tight, my fingers cramped, etc. I forced myself to change it, and not only did it make my hands feel better, my stitches were way more even!

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I thought those were earrings. LOL I don't crochet or knit. My DSis does both. She also quilts and sews. Very handy girl. i love those colors together. I can do a chain stitch. Is that spelled right. It doesn't look right. Must be left over problems from the migraine. :(

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

looks find with me but i can not spell, in fact my spelling is so bad my spell check has been throwing words at my that if I understand are cuss words, I think or some alien language.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

You're right Cajun, no worries. I am the spelling police and I assure you that you have not committed a violation! :-)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Miss C would you talk to my spell check and till it to stop throwing strange words at me. Please. Most are not even close.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Your spell check is acting under the laws of Florida, which are antiquated and unreasonably obtuse. Unfortunately, they are beyond the scope of the Federal Spelling Act, which means I am totally unable to enforce any degree of reasonable behavior by your spell check. A terrible miscarriage of justice, I tell you....

My resplendently radiant aura is dimmed, Dear Cousin.

"Do not go gentle into that good night....Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

See? Dead drunk poets agree with me.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

"Let's not be gentle, faced with doom
(o foul this Faust that thwarts us so)
yet not daunted; we'll shine and stroon
our thoughts in threads and though too soon
some soldiers say it's not, and find it's so.
We still will hear the bells; and breathe the moon
and shine and stroon; as we be knownst to do.

Quoth the live tipsy poet.

Must be the Mounties, eh?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Methinks not Dr. Doolotz cuz their horses would never allow that. Did you know they wear touques now in the winter? Very funky weird.

edit: the mounties; not the horses although the horses might like to wear touques too.

Now to not show my lack of knowledge of winter ware. I googled tougues first I came up with a small town in France and then with a small river in France. Now I maybe a dumb redneck but even I know that one can not ware a small river or a town. so i looked further and I found that it is a misspelling.of tuque. Now where is that spelling police. LOL!!!!
