The globe arborvitae bushes in front of our house got smashed in a record snow last December. It's okay - they were too big anyway. So, hearing that they can be hard pruned, we cut them back to about 15" from the ground. Will they sprout at the ends of the cut branches or do they sprout from ground level? Or is the advice I got wrong and I might as well rip them out now and replant?
Thanks,

They don't grow from cut branches - remove and replant.
