What kind of caterpillar is this?

Iola, TX(Zone 8b)

I found this crawling around on the phone box. Can you ID him? Thanks, Trishann

This is a larva of a tussock moth (Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae); likely in the genus Dasychira - see http://tinyurl.com/y2k42p9 for an example. Some caterpillars in this family have urticating hairs that can cause a rash on tender skin.
