This is a new daffodil for me planted last spring. From Breck's called Daffodil Rainbow of Colors.

Here is the description in the catalog:

One of he showiest daffodils with surprising magical powers. As they bloom, the unusual split cups of these daffodils appear yellow, transforming to pink orange as the flowers mature. Easy to care for daffodils provide you with what looks like two different daffodil mixes for your garden. Bountiful and long lasting 4' blooms make them phenomenal as cut flowers.

Of course this is their first year so they will improve in upcoming years.

No way!!! (Not literally of course). Pretty unique daff., Kim! You must be like me . I have some of the same things but I like to have everything different in my yard. Makes people gawk LOL!!! Send another pic if they turn colors this year. That would be awesome to see :) Pretty cool to see that white behind the yellow regardless of changing colors.

I will Connie :) They just opened and at first I was disappointed that they were all yellow until I came in and read the description again which says they turn as they age. We'll see. I think they are cute all yellow but I REALLY would LOVE to see them change colors. Another week or so and maybe the magic will happen *lol*

Love your pictures Kim!! The daffodil is very pretty even if the colors don't change.

Speaking of Daffodils I just found out that on my 5 acres in North Eastern Tennessee that I have Wild Daffodils growing all over the place. I was amazed and excited to see them especially since 90% of the property is planted with Orchard Grass Hay and the rest is all hard wood trees along with a spring fed creek that runs down the western edge of the 5 acres. I'll post pictures of the Daffodils when I get them uploaded. :)

Oh, I don't have any AVs or other Gessies blooming right now but I Do have a new addition to my flowering plants a lonely Petunia from Shockwave called "Pink Vein". I'm using her in my new planter that my mom got me from Tennessee when they went up to check on her property as well as our property...It's in the shape of a horse and is just adorable..lol

Here's a picture of the Petunia Blooms from this morning (April 16th, 2010)
