Hi All,
I bought this lily last week and was told it is a 'Leopard Lily'. I thought, "How Cool". But after looking up leopard lily, I see the spots are on the flower, not the leaves. The closest I can find is this toad lily:

Does anyone know what this is?
Thanks,

Leopard Lily????
Very cool plant what ever it is, I don't think it is a Toad lily, those are fuzzy and creep around by rhizomes. Yours looks like it could be a bulb due to the clumping habit. Definitely not a real lily. Please post a photo if it blooms!
Some sort of Ledebouria? Bloom stalk looks like it could be. I think they're related to squill.

Maybe some sort of eucomis?

Some very good suggestions. I think we're close. I'll post more pictures as soon as it blooms. The leaves are not rigid but similar to lily leaves.
great leaves no matter what
Jo Ann,
Yes, they are great! They are so unique with those peculiar spots. The nursery where I bought this at specialize in plants native to this area and butterfly plants. This one was all by itself just sitting there with no tag near the pond type lilies. When I asked a lady that worked there what it was, she immediately told me 'Leopard Lily'. Well, with those spots, it sure made sense to me.
Wish they were native here. We have a similar lily thet blooms in autums ToadLily
I bet if this gets posted on the Plant Identification forum we will get a correct ID pretty quick. I've always had good luck there, usually within minutes!
