found this in kitchener-waterloo, in a rarely used basement bathroom. its not very aggressive but its very unusual looking for here, and a strange place for a a spider to be lurking this time of year. Its got very bulbous face things, I couldnt get a good front shot because my camera's autofocus is useless under a foot.
any ideas?

The image is not clear enough for me to be absolutely certain, but this could be a hacklemesh weaver (family Amaurobiidae) - see http://tinyurl.com/ye6nsb4 for an example. They are harmless to humans.
yeah, that is a better picture, its identical to that. very sinister looking but harmless. ive found 3 more since that one so its nice to be more sure.
