Or where to stay away from.
Thanks
Going to Washington DC in June
I took my 4 grandchildren for almost a week (Washington D.C. proper) omg there is nothing we didn`t see...what amazed me is almost everything was FREE!!!!
Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square,Pa.
I think the Smithsonian Museums are close around there, I guess depends on where exactly you are going ot be and how far you want to drive to see them.
I doubt they are free though?
The Smithsonian museums are free. They belong to us, the people.
We went a couple years ago and stayed in Baltimore (much cheaper). Then we bought 1 week transit passes for $15 each, they paid for themselves in no time.
If you have time to do some homework beforehand, it's much better to stay outside the city and transit. We go somewhere every year with my BIL and SIL to see a baseball game (rabid Red Sox fans, they are). He does the homework beforehand and we stay outside the city and transit around.
If you like gemstones, the gemstone area of The Smithsonian is amazing.
Went there for a week several years back. The Holocaust Museum was BY far my fave and we saw EVERYTHING while we were there. Arlington Cemetery and the Vietnam was were also profound and never to be forgotten.
