I get the lily borer about the time they are coming in flower....Do any of you have them and is there anything I can do this spring to get rid of them???? I have cleaned up around them but don't know if there is anything else I should be doing.....

Are you referring to red lily beetle damage, or do you have something boring into the stem?
There is a small hole in the stem with alot of sawdust around it...and if I cut into the stem and follow the hollowing out I find a worm...So I call it a borer...Once this starts the flowers don't mature or the stem breaks off there.....
I've had that before, but I didn't know there was such a thing. Doing some internet reading after your post perhaps answered some of my questions.
I think there was some discussion about that very thing in the last couple years ~ wasn't it decided that it was a corn borer?
They are the same thing, based on what I read. Still not clear as to why they invade lilies.
