Have a wonderful birthday!
Happy birthday Lynda (quiltygirl)
Hi Lynda, a very Happy Birthday to you.
Going to have a nice chocolate birthday cake shaped like an EGG? lol
Donna
Happy Birthday, Lynda! You must be out celebrating!
Happy birthday, Lynda!
Happy Easter Birthday! Double your fun.....
Lynda,
How could I miss your Birthday? Happy Belated Birthday!
Well, I hope it was a wonderful day for you, and you got lots of chocolate Easter goodies.
My Birthday wish for you this year, is the companionship of good friends, laughter, and better health. I hope that this year will be much better than the last.
Am sending you a precious (to me) wildflower. It's called Owl's Clover.

Hey guys, thank you so much. I was just thinking everyone was so quiet these days, then thought maybe there was a new thread where everyone was gathering, and VOILA'! Yea Easter/Birthday was at DD's BF's family's home and the kids surprised me with a birthday cake. Well, not so surprised, but very sweet. Then, the whole ground got into celebrating by rockin 'n rollin! SW, thanks for the wish that things will go better this year. After a relapse the weekend before last, that is really something I would like.
The only other time my birthday was on Easter, 1999 when Ariana was in Kindergarten, not one person remembered my birthday!
Thanks again!
QG aka Lynda
Lynda,
I hate it when people don't remember my B.day. Especially my own family. No wonder Summer Solstice is my favorite day of the year!
Still I am glad to hear that you had a nice B.day, and you weren't forgotten because of the Holiday this time. 2010 is going to be a good year!
I am sad to hear about the relapse, but not surprised. It was weird weather and that always seems to affect my respiratory system. Happened about the same time as your relapse. My chest was hurting all the time. Is better now. That rain really helped. Even if it was only a 10th of an inch, it'll keep the wildflowers going a bit longer. : - )
Birthdays should last at least a week, don't you think?
Keep on having some fun, okay?

I celebrate mine all month, with the grand finale on the 30th, which is my birthday. Start the month, week, whatever off with asking what they are going to do for your birthday! Don't let them weasel out of it. If your birthday is at the beginning or middle of the month, it works even better, because you can lead up to it, then drag it out!
Of course, everyone gets the same treatment...we can't be selfish. Birthdays are very special days and should be celebrated with enthusiasm!
Great attitude, I like it. Obviously things need to change around here. I need to print this out, LOL! I told them the best gifts for me would be to help me do stuff in the garden I am having difficulty doing this year, like dig holes and drive fence posts in as supports for my tomatoes, etc (positive thinking), and digging up the monster weeds.
I think that's a terrific idea. You should schedule a day and tell everyone it's your birthday work party!
I always ask for tools for Mother's Day. Last year my friend asked for tires for her truck for her B'Day and got hassled about it. But she ended up getting them, and was very happy.
I think it's best to be specific, though. NOT "I want you to help me in the garden" but "I want you to help me build/plant/cleanup ________" and name one thing. If people have a goal, they're more likely to cooperate. Keep that secret, though. LOL
...and promise them some food, even if it's takeout!
Yesterday I did get DD and her BF to 'be' volunteered to put up fence posts and fencing across my straw bales for tomato supports (positive thinking). I talked to them about the 'month of birthday' concept and the BF said he's lucky to get a cake at home. We share the birthday month, so I will need to do something for him as he is a very sweet kid. I also told them I would make a list of things to be done and that I would pay them (as I would need to hire someone otherwise), but it would be a no cell phone zone and a no standing talking zone. Food - of course!
Lynda, that's how my birthday month started. I had two other friends with birthdays in the same month and we started celebrating together and saw no reason to leave those empty days out. LOL Then, every time we felt like doing something special we would ask around, "anybody got a birthday this month?" We were on budgets, after all, and had to justify these things!
