Happy Easter everyone

Good morning to all,

Did the Easter Bunny come visit you last night?
He doesn't come here anymore and it's a good thing he doesn't as I have 3 little Shitzu's visiting me this week and they would have barked all night. They are my DD's doggies and I am watching them while they are on a RV trip to the Grand Canyon for Spring Break.

I have my 90 yr. old father staying with me for the weekend. All the other family members are doing their own thing today. I am going to make a really nice Easter breakfast and then have a nice simple ham dinner late this afternoon.

I had a visit from the Easter hummingbird this morning---my cat was knocking frantically on the glass door next to my desk, and she had live baby hummer in her mouth. She knows the parakeets are off limits, so maybe she decided this bird was, too. I warmed it up a bit in my hand and looked it over; there were no apparent injuries. After it started grabbing on to my finger with its wee feet, I put it in my small carrier cage. When both eyes were fully open and it seemed recovered, I took the cage outside. My plan was to take the baby out and see if it could sit on a branch on its own, but as soon as I opened the door, off it flew---straight into a plant, where it crashed again. But when I got there, it was gone. It seemed the parents were hanging around, so it must be time for flight lessons. And of course I didn't take even ONE PICTURE!
