I looked through several of my books, and while it does looked vaguely familiar to me, I still can't figure out what it is.
I hope the pic is good enough for an ID. The insect is real little. It is on the edge of a Holly leaf.

This could be a barklouse (order Psocodea) in the family Ectopsocidae - see http://tinyurl.com/yd669zz - they are harmless to plants.
