Bugs found in bedroom in South England

I've had a sort of infestation of these a couple of times now. It mainly seems to be as the weather starts to warm up. It happened last summer and has just started now as spring has begun. The pictures is the best I could get as they are around 5mm. They are the same sort of shape as ladybugs, but have a sort of browny creme black pattern on black. They crawl around and I've found them on my walls and I found some on my bed too. It's really disgusting, but I can't identify them on any household pest images, I just haven't seen them anywhere! Can you please help? I want to get rid of them but don't know where to start.

It seems they can fly as well much like ladybugs. I've just had one fly in front of my face! Would explain why they're all dotted around the room.

These beetles more likely are in the family Dermestidae (hide/skin/carpet beetles) than Coccinellidae (lady beetles). The only British ladybird species that resembles these is Calvia quatuordecimguttata (cream-spotted ladybird), but its spots are much more distinct - see http://tinyurl.com/ybchbv8 for a image. Carpet beetle adults are good fliers and are attracted to light, explaining why they often are found at or near windows. The adult beetles themselves do no harm, primarily being pollen feeders. Their larvae, however, can be very destructive - see http://tinyurl.com/daun2s and http://tinyurl.com/ya6xx73 for examples of two different genera.
