New to raising chickens, and have questions, help!!

O.K I have a question, one of my poor chickens has been bullied by the others, they were pecking at her and she has some blood on one of her ears, my son told me yesterday that they were all on top of her and she was playing dead. I went ahead and pulled her out from the rest, she is right now separated in a box that we made for the chickens a while back, I am hoping to get her to heal before placing her cack in the coop. Is this a good idea? I know now is when they establish who is the boss.

Once they are bleeding, the others won't stop pecking them until they are dead. There are products like "Blue Coat" and "No Pick" that will cover the redness and/or make them taste bad to the other chickens. But in this case I would also keep her separated until she is stronger. It would be best if you could put one of the less aggressive chickens in with her. Or put her so she is only separated from the others by a screen, so they still have contact.
